Perhaps I'd appreciate the glorious evening sunlight more if I didn't work SECOND SHIFT!

So, then why do we have to stop DST in the winter? Let's just pick a time and go with it. Everyone's productivity will be enhanced.

I've heard it's so that kids aren't walking to school in the dark in the winter.

But how many kids do you know who walk to school? Especially at that time of year...

I'd also add, especially in this climate. Parents don't trust their kids to not get abducted, so kids pretty much don't walk to school anymore at all.

Seriously, though, where I live, only the kids who live within a block of school walk at all.
