The semester's over, grades are in, and I've never so looked forward to summer.
We took the Naga kids to the airport last Friday. There were a lot of problems with the program this year, most of which we (the teachers) didn't even start to discover until the semester was almost over. By that time, it was way too late to fix anything. The end result is, I didn't cry as we said goodbye to this group. I liked them, but I never got to know them enough to really miss them. Plus, I'm very happy that this obligation is now ended. It's so consuming in so many ways, and has very little reward except for the emotional connection. Without that, the program is more drain than it's worth.
In more important news, if all continues well, our third cat, Nellie, will be getting her own human in time for Christmas.
The felines seem to be OK with the news, though they've all become a lot more clingy. DH and I are still in "wait and see" mode, tho small planning things have already started to creep into our conversations. We'd been idly planning to take a trip this summer, since we never really took our honeymoon. Now, we're definitely going to take one. In fact, it looks like we'll be visiting London sometime later this summer :)

Not caring about the exchange rate. This may be my last chance to get overseas for another decade or more.
Tentative due date is actually sometime between Thanksgiving and the beginning of December. But, still. The timing rocks. Will have a better idea on all this after next week's appt.

If not the $$ (you'd be amazed how much a baby can soak up, even if you are breast feeding) then the shear logistics would astound you.

I'm thrilled about the first, looking forward to the second, and still trying to reconcile the third. The last may yet be a very long process.
Congratulations on the new ferret. He sounds like a real pip. I'd love to meet the menagerie sometime.

Congratulations. (I thought you were giving away the cat. Stupid Tigger.)
Best of luck with everything. :)
Re: *blnks*
(Don't worry, Beth, I wasn't quite sure at first either.)
Re: *blnks*
Nellie would never let us give her away. It would absolutely break her heart. She's the sweetest, neediest little kitty. But it's always been a struggle for her not to have her own person. Piccadilly is DH's and Dolly is mine. So ... there was only one solution :)
This was done in the best interest of the feline. Really.

I'm sure you will addict the little thing to TP before it can read... (grin)
Don't go to London, go to Melbourne! (grin)
