List five fictional people --- from television, movies, books, whatever -- that you had a crush on as a child (or early teens).
My answers:
1. Andrew Forbes ("Tomorrow People")
2. Andrew Clements ("My Secret Identity")
3. Cat (from the novel series by Joan D. Vinge: Psion, Catspaw, Dreamfall)
4. Speedball (The New Warriors comic book)
5. Scott Hayden ("Starman")
Mmmm ... smartass kids with superpowers.
Although, after recently seeing Blade: Trinity, I came to the realization that there's some flexibility to this weakness. Smartass kids (or young adults) who used to have superpowers also make me weak in the knees.

Wow, you read those books, too? Believe it or not, Psion was my introduction to sci-fi. Before that I was reading your usual teenybopper Judy Bloom, Black Beauty, The Black Stallion, and Sweet Valley High books. After reading Psion and Catspaw I dove wholeheartedly into sci-fi and fantasy.
This is the first I've heard of Dreamfall. Gonna have to find me a copy. :)
I assume you mean Ryan Reynolds playing Hannibal King. He's teh_hotness!

I avoided them for years. I kept seeing Psion listed in the front of other books by the same publisher, and somehow decided that any author who couldn't even spell "Poison" correctly didn't deserve reading :) Now they're my favorites.

Wow! It was published in '96. I haven't read it since then, but I seem to remember it was pretty good. There's also a short story out there in the Cat universe, which title I'm now blanking on.

We should probably synchronize the drooling so our shoes don't get too wet :)

Definitely!
The whole universe is on a cliffhanger.

But no, while Joan Vinge still has breath and therefore the possibility that she might actually write a sequel, I wouldn't consider it.
TP crushes = hilarious
Re: TP crushes = hilarious
Still do, although my tastes have turned more towards Mike as I've gotten older.
What's wrong with having a crush on Andrew?
