Apparently I am doing NaNoWriMo.
I signed up so I could keep track of my students. Then they talked me into it.
At last count, I have 10 students who are taking me up on the challenge, 6 from 1 class. Amongst the 10 is a foreign exchange student who wants to write his novel in English, and another student with severe reading and writing LDs. The other 8 are all math or engineering students.
I figure, if engineering students and students with definite handicaps in using the English language are excited enough about the idea to want to participate, then I have no excuse.
Of course, I'm also close to 4000 words behind already, so we'll see how long this lasts.
