I'll let you know if I think of a reason why.
It's the last week of school. Been doing student conferences all week because I saw no reason to have class. The students need time to work on their portfolios. However, the school requires me to have a class during final's week in which I do some sort of "meaningful instructional activity." I've decided to have the students watch a movie and bring in food. Oh yeah, and turn in their portfolios. The so-called-final is on Monday at 3:00. After that, I'm done for the semester. Well, besides the pesky grading.
I did not get the Nagasaki position. This does not bother me given that it's the middle of December, the hiring committee didn't get the position filled until yesterday, and the work for the position had to start two months ago. Also, I think the Academic Director should really be an extrovert and I'm really not.
