For reasons that [livejournal.com profile] fiction_theory has already elaborated on (and with which I agree without reservation), I'm not going to bother with that big list of books meme that's going around.

Anyone who knows me knows that I read quite a lot. Student compositions and research papers aside, I also find the time occasionally to read an actual published book.

So, in lieu of the Big List, here are the books that I am currently and actively reading:

1. The Singularity is Near by Ray Kurzweil
2. Nano-Hype: The Truth Behind the Nanotechnology Buzz by David M. Berube
3. All Tomorrow's Parties by William Gibson (completed 7/12)
4. Diagnosing and Changing Organizational Culture by Kim Collins and Robert Quinn
5. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
6. The Stories of English by David Crystal
7. Good to Great by Jim Collins
8. Enjoy Your Gifted Child by Carol Addison Takacs (completed 7/3)
9. The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger (completed 7/13)
10. The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle by Hugh Lofting (completed 7/1)
11. The Soft Edge: A Natural History and Future of the Information Revolution by Paul Levinson (completed 7/2)

Anyone else care to share what they're currently reading?
