My last two days of writing have been all garbage. I hate writing intentional garbage. It actually makes me feel like I've done something dirty.

NaNo's counters don't seem to take into consideration my time zone difference. All my daily word counts are credited to the day after they're supposed to be.

I still have no idea what my story is about. Or what's going on in it. Or why.

On the plus side, I'm almost on target for word count. That's a first. And, I'm totally obsessed with the flash graphic profile page. Staring at my excerpt in book form is taking up more of my time than anything else.

Midterm elections today in the US.

Yes, I voted. Of course.

To my shame, the Marriage Amendment passed. It is now going to get written into the Wisconsin state constitution that marriage is between one man and one woman only. You know, because gay marriage being illegal just wasn't good enough.

I feel so much safer knowing that my traditional marriage is no longer under attack. Heaven forbid we vote down adding discrimation to the constitution; some gay person might have come along, annulled my marriage, and forced me to marry her instead.

Yup, definitely feeling safer and more secure.
