About a week after I started here, we ran out of work. They were still hiring new people and those already here had almost nothing to do. Our directions upon arriving for each shift were "go slowly and make it last." Often people went home early, came in late, or failed to come in at all.

Since then, I've been moved between three different departments, trained on seven different processes that are all supposed to be very difficult and complicated. They're not.

Once again, we're out of work. I think this is it, this time. I'll be lucky if this job lasts all week. Not that I mind having this whole factory to myself. I just feel guilty updating this lj on the clock.

Now that school has ended, I'm finally getting a chance to catch up on some of my backlog of television. In going through my tapes, I noticed that I failed to tape the Angel finale. It aired the night I left for England for the TP Dinner (thanks, Mom) and it appears that I set the VCR very wrong.

Buffy finale -- ehh. It was decent enough, but it really needed to be a little longer and a lot more final. There were just too many loose ends left loose. Haven't seen the Smallville finale yet. I understand my reaction will be about the same. OTOH, I'm really enjoying Manor House. That's my kind of reality show. The problem is, I keep trying to design lesson plans around it and I am not now, nor do I ever plan to be, a history or social sciences teacher.

I do plan to keep the tape around, tho. Next time my lesson plans consist of showing any kind of movie produced by the Walt Disney Studios, I'll use this instead.
