No I'm not. I just like the jingle.
But I did win at the gumball game tonight.
Okay, it's not a game. Technically it's just a gumball machine. And I got the gumball marked winner! I've never won at the gumball game before. Usually I just get a few brief seconds of amusement at watching the gumball spin down the twirly ramp. Today I got a few brief minutes of amusement, and all for 25 cents :)
The winning gumball was yellow. It entitles me to a free drink should I ever return to the restaurant where I won (likely, but not a certainty), remember that I won a free drink, and remember the name of the manager who told me to remind him. I also have to hope that he remembers that I got the winning gumball.
There sure is a lot of trust in these small towns.
Or maybe they're just counting on me forgetting.

Woke up yesterday at 11:46 to a phone call from Jesse, my former Little Brother (via Big Brothers, Big Sisters). He has heard that we were moving again and called to make sure he hadn't dreamt it. Our move puts us 3 hours closers to him, and makes it a much stronger possibility that his mom'll send him to finish high school with us.
It almost came to pass a few weeks ago, but she retracted the offer at the last second.
On that really bad side, I'm not sure when or if we'll be able to have him up to visit this summer. Our schedules are thoroughly booked through the middle of July. Then we move. Maybe in August before I find a job.
Jesse, if you're reaidng this--you forgot to return your phone call as you promised. Again. If you're not careful, you're going to get a reputation.

Just got back from seeing the play "Sylvia" starring Gary Berghoff (Radar O'Reilly from M*A*S*H) and his daughter Gena. The play itself was amusing; not anywhere near as gut-busting as everyone around us seemed to think. The acting was great. Gena was fantastic in her role as the dog Sylvia. Had a good time, but wouldn't go see this particular play again. It's no "The Crucible".
